Waarom ik meedoe aan Alpe d'HuZes
While my grandfather was fighting cancer, I visited him very often. Every time I had the chance I drove over to help. Then on a sudden moment he went downhill fast. One day he was struggling to stay awake. I was sitting next to his bed. He spoke to me but fell asleep mid-sentence. He never got the finish his sentence to me, he died the next morning. For me this chapter was never closed. So to be able to finally end the sentence, I challenge myself to walk up the mountain. I hope this way I can help fight this disease and make sure other people are able to finish their sentences.
