Why I participate in Alpe d'HuZes?
Hello,
My name si Francis, and I am swine researcher in SFR. I am originally from the Philippines and moved to the Netherlands last year, and prior to that I was living in France for the last 10 years. I was intrigued to join the Alpes d'huZes and the BIG challenge since first hearing about it from the SFR team because of three things: 1. I'm not a cyclist, and I just bought my first bike for this event, but I very much like the challenge of going up the mountain in a bike, 2. As a researcher, raising funds is always a struggle and I want to also know the other avenues on how it can be done, 3. funds go to cancer research, which will benefit everyone, even those from my home country who have much lower means to conduct research on this topic
